The Name Gerwin

The name Gerwin comes from Old High German and is composed of the words
Ger (=spear) and Wini (=friend), so it means spear friend.

In these turbulent times, it’s good to have real spear friends by your side!

Our Location

Our company is nestled in the heart of Germany, in the powerful nature of the Thuringian Forest. In the mountain town of Brotterode, we operate not only an organic shop in the city center, but also our two guesthouses:

Landhotel Waldschlösschen

Located a little outside, surrounded by swan ponds and fallow deer enclosures

Herberge zur Rose

At the small Inselsberg, directly on the famous Rennsteig

Our Team

Our employees work in many different positions, so that all business locations combine to form a harmonious whole. In this way, we can also regularly offer wonderful seminars on the backgrounds, philosophy and modes of action of our products at the Landhotel Waldschlösschen.

Both our range of goods and the way we handle the products are based on awareness of the high value of these products, the effect they have in the world and the responsibility that our contribution brings with it.
